Bhava is an award-winning former network news foreign correspondent who healed from a broken back, failed surgery and terminal cancer through the mind, body, spirit science of Yoga. He nows devotes himself to teaching that we all have an innate capacity to heal, turn obstacles into opportunities, unfold our most authentic self, and manifest our fullest potential.
Bhava is co-founder of Deep Yoga, a healing arts school home based at Ginseng Yoga Studio in San Diego. His foundation, Warriors for Healing, is dedicated to bringing yoga therapy to our veterans facing PTSD and other victims of major life trauma.
Bhava teaches internationally, consults with medical universities and executive groups, and serves as faculty at Kripalu and Yoga Journal Live conferences. He is the author of Deep Yoga, Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times, and The Eight Limbs of Yoga, Pathway to Liberation. His highly acclaimed memoir, Warrior Pose, How Yoga Literally Saved My Life is scheduled to be a full feature film in 2016.
Bhava Ram is an ERYT-500 with Yoga Alliance, and a graduate of the Kerala Ayurveda Academy and American Institute of Vedic Studies.
